Account Manager/Freight Broker

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Account Manager/Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient transportation operations, maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers, and achieving assigned targets. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing client needs, and resolving any challenges that arise during transportation.

Key Responsibilities: 

Achieving assigned targets and contributing to the company’s goals.

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Managing client relationships through regular communication to understand their needs, addressing their inquiries, and providing updates on delivery statuses and other logistics operations.

Communicating with carriers and identifying the most suitable and reliable carrier for each shipment.

Organizing and coordinating transportation routes efficiently, ensuring timely updates on active shipments, and minimizing costs and travel time.

Handling tasks related to carrier sourcing, negotiating terms and prices, preparing and sending client offers, and performing administrative duties

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Freight Broker, with a focus on dry van and expedite shipping

Strong understanding of transportation logistics, market fluctuations and pricing

Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
