Job Description

Juliane Marie Center We are looking for an assistant head nurse with clear management capacity and who wants to create change from within and contribute to the development of a very special workplace. Are you an intensive care nurse and do you see clinical work as a natural part of your management practice? Then we have a unique opportunity for you, where you can combine management and intensive nursing care. The position to be filled on 1 June 2025 or by agreement. As assistant head nurse in Team Matur, you will become part of a dynamic team and you would play a central role in the everyday management task at GN. You will become one of 4 assistant head nurses in the department and you will report to the head nurse in Team Matur. About the department The Department for Intensive Care of Newborns and Small Children is Denmark's largest and most specialized neonatal department (level IV) with integrated NICU and PICU function. There is room for 27 children and their families. We are specialists in the care and treatment of extremely premature children, intensive treatment of sick newborns and pre- and post-operative treatment of newborns with congenital malformations. We also provide ECMO treatment and intensive therapy for children up to 2 years of age. We have our own transport team, which brings critically ill children to Rigshospitalet from the country's other hospitals. The department has established a NIDCAP Training and Development Centre. The interaction between the department's 220 interdisciplinary employees and our ability to collaborate and adapt to changes is central to the department's function. As an assistant head nurse in our department, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the NICU / PICU department in the process towards 2027, when we will move into the new hospital building: Mary Elizabeths Hospital - Kingdom for children, young people and pregnant women, which will form the framework for the future of children, young people, pregnant women and their families at Rigshospitalet.
