Job Description
The Department of Clinical Microbiology has a vacant position as a nationwide manager with joining as soon as possible or by agreement. The Department of Clinical Microbiology is located in the Central Laboratory. The central laboratory is located in beautiful premises at Dronning Ingrid's Hospitals. The central laboratory has a number of automated analysis machines and most of the biochemical and immunological analyzes for DIH and submitted material from the rest of Greenland take place here. In general, all tasks are carried out from scratch, which means that the work is very manual and it is therefore important that you know your craft. Our primary tasks are: Clinical biochemistry Clinical immunology Medicine analysesBlood sampling The central laboratory is currently normed with 15 bioanalysts divided into: one manager bioanalyst, 2 microbiological bioanalysts, one of whom is responsible for the water laboratory and 12 clinical biochemical bioanalysts. We expect you to: Be an authorized bioanalyst. Have experience with clinical microbiology primarily Have an interest in learning new things. Like to work independently and with a sense of responsibility. is fixed from 07:30 to 15:30 every day of the week as well as on-call duty.Nuuk is located by a large fjord system, with ample opportunities for sailing, kayaking, whale watching and other wildlife. The surrounding mountains offer good hiking opportunities and in winter the ski lift is just a bus ride from the pharmacy. There are plenty of opportunities for sports activities, social gatherings in evening school, clubs and staff associations, etc. The city has a swimming pool, cinema, shopping centre, several cafes and restaurants, i.e. most of what you associate with a modern city - without, however, being able to compete with Copenhagen, Paris or Oslo. Attention is drawn to the fact that in Denmark the Association of County Councils has entered into an agreement with KTO for Bioanalysts, which gives the right to leave without pay to employees employed in i.a. Greenland's Self-Government, of which the Greenlandic health service is a part.
