This dual-role position involves managing fleet maintenance and providing roadside assistance to our drivers, ensuring all service and maintenance needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Position Overview:

As a Fleet Maintenance and Roadside Assistance Agent, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet, while also coordinating emergency roadside services. You will work closely with drivers, external vendors, and internal teams to keep our trucks and trailers in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the maintenance, repair, and servicing of trucks and trailers.

Respond to emergency roadside service calls and provide timely assistance to drivers.

Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.

Communicate effectively with drivers, driver managers, and other internal departments regarding breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance needs.

Log maintenance data and track repair history using fleet management software.

Negotiate with external vendors and repair facilities to ensure quality service at competitive rates.

Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure the fleet meets legal standards.

Monitor fleet performance, identify potential issues, and develop proactive solutions.

Manage and track inventory of parts and supplies for fleet maintenance.

Assist in optimizing fleet efficiency and reducing operational costs.

Qualifications:

Technical knowledge of motor vehicles, including straight trucks, semi-trucks, and trailers (preferred).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Basic technical understanding of vehicle components and repair processes.

Strong problem-solving abilities and quick decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience managing box trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, and dry vans.

Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in fleet management.
