The mission is to enable the transition to a zero-carbon future, addressing one of the most significant contributors to carbon emissions.They're seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of renewable heating systems for commercial and industrial buildings. You'll head a growing engineering team and be responsible for end-to-end design projects incorporating cutting-edge solar heat and power technology.Key Responsibilities:Lead and grow an engineering teamDesign safe, reliable, and economical renewable heating systemsPrepare comprehensive system designs including P&ID designs, roof layouts, and component sizingConduct structural analysis and cost engineeringManage client relationships and stakeholder engagementSign off on designs and maintain design liabilityCollaborate with commercial teams on project tendersRequired Qualifications & Experience:10+ years in M&E design engineeringRelevant engineering degree or equivalent qualificationProven experience in HVAC and/or building servicesProficiency in engineering drawing and design tools (eg, AutoCAD)Confident in performing and signing off designs up to RIBA stage 4 and beyondStrong knowledge of relevant building standards and regulationsExperience working with clients, architects, and construction companiesDesirable Experience:Solar or other renewable energy systemsCommercial and industrial building servicesLocation & Working Pattern:Hybrid working available (40% office-based)Offices in Crawley or London, 40% on site at either locationFull-time with flexible working consideredPackage:Competitive salary range £60,000 - £70,000 + Share optionsPrivate Healthcare25 days holiday + birthday leave + bank holidaysDiscretionary bonus schemeEnhanced parental benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramSalary sacrifice schemesPaid volunteering timeThe company are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, welcoming applications from all qualified candidates and happy to discuss any accommodations needed during the recruitment process.Please apply now for immediate consideration!
