Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting soldiers and their relatives before, during and after deployment? Can you see yourself in a versatile and challenging everyday life with a sea of exciting tasks? Then we might just need you for a temporary maternity position in the section for international operations. About us You will be employed in the section for International Operations, which today consists of 14 colleagues, of which 4 work in Karup. The other colleagues in the section are distributed in Aalborg, Fredericia, Slagelse, Ringsted, Copenhagen and Høvelte. The section is part of the Military Psychology Department in the Veterans Center with a total of approx. 50 colleagues. The workplace is characterized by high professionalism and expertise, many exciting tasks and unique experiences. We value a learning environment and like to challenge conventional thinking with new research or development projects. In International Operations, we work with both prevention and treatment, and therefore every day is rarely the same. We work preventively through e.g. training of the soldiers, contact visits during deployment and via mandatory interviews with all deployed soldiers after returning home. We take care of the subsequent treatment of the soldiers and relatives who need support after deployment. The section also deploys psychologists to solve crisis tasks in connection with the international operations. About the position You are part of a well-functioning and interdisciplinary competent team, which works committed and targeted in an area with many stakeholders and great social and political attention. Your tasks will mainly be: Teaching soldiers in stress management prior to deployment Teaching future leaders at the Armed Forces' training courses (sergeant schools and officer schools) Visitation (examination) of veterans and relatives Individual, couple and group therapy Interdisciplinary collaboration regarding client processes with other professionals in the Veterans Center (social workers, outreach counselors, employment counselors, child counselors and physiotherapists) Counseling through the day care telephone Join the international crisis preparedness We provide a thorough introduction to and training in the job, so that you become familiar with the work tasks. The team in Karup is an experienced team, both mono- and interdisciplinary, which gives you the opportunity for good sparring and professional development. We regularly hold courses in the psychotraumatic field and offer systematic and regular supervision internally as well as externally. We also offer the option of flexible organization of your working hours and homework to a certain extent. Your workplace is at the Airport in Karup. There will be some travel activity in connection with task solving and course activity. About you You are a trained psychologist (cand.psych.), preferably authorized, but this is not a requirement. You want to work with evidence-based methods primarily within a cognitive frame of reference. You bring your psychological skills into play both in relation to our preventive efforts and in the treatment of soldiers, veterans and relatives. As a person, you are open and independent with a desire to participate in daily collaboration with both your own and other professional groups. You thrive in an environment with many different tasks, all of which are solved where the soldiers serve. You must therefore expect a certain amount of travel activity, just as participation in our international preparedness means that, in the event of special incidents abroad, you must be prepared to move out and carry out a crisis psychological effort together with experienced colleagues. The latter, however, will only become relevant after thorough training. We make demands on your flexibility and your skills, but through dialogue and planning there will be a focus on maintaining a good balance between your work life and private life. Terms of employment You are employed in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and Academics in the State. The salary is determined by seniority, includes a centrally negotiated supplement, possibly authorization supplement and the possibility to negotiate a personal qualification supplement. The position includes an employer-funded pension scheme of 17.1%. The position is a time-limited full-time position of 37 hours per week and it is to be filled on 1 June 2025. borders, including by units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.
