You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managingsecure on-premises cloud solutionsin a multi-tenanted cloud hosting environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge virtualization technologies for high-profilegovernment and defence clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure remains robust, secure, and highly available.Key Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and maintain VMware-based cloud solutions in a secure, multi-tenanted environment.Provide expert-level support forVMware ESXi, vCenter, and related technologies.Manage virtual machines, storage, and networking within ahighly secure VMware infrastructure.Automate processes usingPowerCLI, vRealize, or other Scripting toolsto enhance efficiency.Work closely with security and network teams to ensure compliance with stringentgovernment security standards.Troubleshoot and resolve complexVMware-related technical issuesefficiently.Contribute todisaster recovery planningand incident response efforts.Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and technical training to team members.Ensure service delivery meets agreedSLAs and KPIsfor performance and availability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.What You Need to Succeed:Essential:Active DV Clearance (Developed Vetting)- required for this role.Strong experience withVMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter administration.Expertise inVMware cloud solutionsin a multi-tenant environment (vCloud, VMware Cloud Director, etc.).Solid knowledge ofnetworking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)and storage technologies (iSCSI, NFS).Proficiency inautomation using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or vRealize.Strong understanding ofsecurity best practices and compliancein a government or defense setting.Knowledge ofLinux/Unix and Windows systemsin virtualized environments.Experience inbackup and disaster recovery strategiesfor VMware infrastructure.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complexVMware and cloud environments.Desirable (Bonus Points):Experience withcloud-native technologiessuch as Kubernetes, OpenStack, or AWS/Azure.Familiarity withcontainerization and orchestration tools.VMware certifications(VCP, VCAP) or equivalent qualifications.Understanding ofITIL-based service management and change control processes.Strong communication and collaboration skills in a dynamicteam environment.Location & Security Note:Active DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role.
