In the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Region Zealand, we strengthen efforts to prevent suicide among children and young people. With us, you get the opportunity to work across sectors and contribute with specific psychological expertise in a team collaboration that requires a focus on complex problems.
The target group in the suicide prevention function is children and young people with suicidal thoughts and behavior where there is no suspicion of serious underlying psychopathology. We do not carry out investigations, but focus on the therapeutic work with an emphasis on being able to quickly and flexibly help the individual young person and their family.
At Bakkehuset, we have a super good working environment with a focus on interdisciplinary. In addition to psychologists, we have nurses, pedagogues, doctors, social workers and school consultants who all contribute to creating the best help for our patients.

The hill house
Bakkehuset started as a rate pool project in 2019. The project is permanently done as of 1.1.2022 and has since been an integrated unit in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Region Zealand.
The intention is to strengthen cross-sector efforts for children, young people and their parents/network when there is no immediate need for hospitalization. The unit can uncover the child's/young person's overall situation, with a view to creating the most relevant efforts in a coordinated process, with possibly ongoing action plans in the municipality/psychiatry/general practice.
The tasks in the Bakkehuset vary in the individual patient processes and involve direct patient contact as well as contact with families and networks. It can be contact and advice for, for example, places of residence etc.
The effort in Bakkehuset is based on a mentalisation-based network approach, where we will work to strengthen the integration of the effort in relation to complicated cases where there are both psychiatric and social issues.
Employees in the Bakkehuset can, depending on the need, make home visits, visits to places of placement, telephone calls, video meetings, written briefings or hold cross-sectoral meetings, where the current overview is discussed and coordinated with the home municipality or other relevant parties.
