An introductory position at the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Bispebjerg Frederiksberg Hospital

An introductory position in occupational medicine, no. [phone removed]-i-01 is advertised for occupation per 1 May 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The department handles investigations of patients with suspected work-related illnesses, patient counseling on occupational and health conditions, communication tasks and research. The department is part of the Poison Line at Bispebjerg Hospital. The department is affiliated with the University of Copenhagen and contributes to the education of medical students. The position is off-call. The daily work involves individual investigation and counseling of referred patients regarding working environment conditions. The examination of patients with psychological problems is carried out in collaboration with the department's psychologists, who provide stress reduction treatment. Investigations in general are often carried out in collaboration with other hospital departments and bodies within the working environment area, e.g. The Norwegian Working Environment Authority. The patient work also includes workplace visits. The department is increasingly involved in environmental medicine issues arising from the increased attention in recent years to contamination of the surrounding environment with substances such as PCBs and PFAS. An important task for the department is the dissemination of working environment knowledge, i.a. to other doctors, to occupational health and safety professionals and to employees and trustees. The same applies to dissemination and risk communication within the field of environmental medicine. There are good opportunities to be introduced to and involved in research. The department has significant research activity within reproduction and the working environment of pregnant women, environmental medicine, psychological working environment, musculoskeletal disorders, sick leave and rehabilitation. You will have an influence on the planning of your own work, and we emphasize that you can work independently and committedly, but at the same time that you have good skills for collaboration. There is a close collaboration between the training doctor and supervisor, with daily supervision and ample opportunity for learning.
