Occupational therapists with an interest in neurorehabilitation for Lions Neurocenter, Copenhagen Are you a trained occupational therapist? Do you want to contribute with your expertise and practical experience to create good rehabilitation courses for citizens with acquired brain damage together with the rest of the interdisciplinary team? This is a permanent position of 35-37 hours per week, with changing working hours day, evening and weekends, from 1 May 2025 or by agreement. Who are we? The independent institution, Lions Neurocenter, is a highly specialized service for adults with complex acquired brain damage aged 18-65. We offer both temporary neurorehabilitation courses and longer-term everyday rehabilitation courses in accordance with §107 and §108 of the Service Act. The position is attached to the temporary neurorehabilitation places, where we receive citizens from Copenhagen and other surrounding municipalities for shorter or longer rehabilitation courses (up to 3 years). Your function: You will be part of interdisciplinary teams around the department's 15 citizens, and handle both occupational therapy and interdisciplinary tasks. The team is made up depending on the resident's individual needs and can for example consist of a social and health assistant, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, neuropsychologist, speech therapist, pedagogue, nurse or social worker consultant. The interdisciplinary team plans, coordinates and takes care of the rehabilitation process in close dialogue with the individual citizen, relatives and other relevant agencies (e.g. hospital, municipality, possibly guardian, doctor). Methods such as rehabilitation, compensation or education are brought into play to optimize all relevant aspects of the citizen's functional capacity: physical, cognitive, emotional, behaviour, PADL, IADL, work/education, leisure interests or the ability to take on social roles such as parent or partner. The exciting thing about the position is that, as an occupational therapist, you can work with initiatives that address a wide range of citizens' everyday lives. We offer: Thorough introduction Supervision by a neuropsychologist or neurospecialist consultant Monodisciplinary meetings with the possibility of sparring from experienced occupational therapists regarding specific citizens or knowledge sharing from courses Close collaboration with the other interdisciplinary team, e.g. at weekly interdisciplinary meetings around the residents An experienced group of therapists consisting of 3 other occupational therapists and 3 physiotherapists in the department Respect for each other and each other's professionalism Internal and external professional courses A department where work is focused on creating and strengthening structure and well-being We would like you to: Are a trained occupational therapist with an interest and preferably practical experience in neurorehabilitation Keep yourself informed and aim to practice the latest knowledge in neurorehabilitation Has the desire and ability to participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration Take responsibility, is structured and will contribute to optimizing workflows in the department Is solution-oriented Is appreciative in your approach to citizens, relatives and colleagues Possibly have knowledge of the OTIPM work process model, possibly has knowledge of studies such as COPM, ADL-I, the ADL taxonomy, AMPS Possibly. has knowledge of cognitive strategies, VitalStim Plus, FOTT and conversation support for adults with aphasia (SCA).
