Job Description
We are looking for a committed nurse who is passionate about ensuring a good start to the cancer treatment process and can organize structured and coherent patient processes. You will be the safe and closer contact person for patients who both need concrete information and psychological support during treatment.
Are you interested in working with high-quality nursing in both administrative and clinical contexts? Then the position as course coordinating nurse is the right opportunity for you.
We want to strengthen the bridge building between clinical practice and the coordination of newly referred patients as well as patients who are to receive high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell support (HDT) or CAR-T cell therapy.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to schedule and coordinate patients for high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell support (HDT). You will also share a secondary area of responsibility with a colleague. This position offers good opportunities for professional development and involvement in the collaboration with the bed department regarding HDT treatment.
The position is anchored as a staff function for the department management and includes 32-37 hours per week. 28 hours will be dedicated to course coordination, where we agree a fixed shift structure that fits your needs and the collaboration with the other course coordinators. The remaining hours are spent in the bed section, which may vary in relation to your working hours and course coordination tasks. Weekend shift will occur approximately every 6 weeks. The close connection between administrative and clinical functions means that you will be able to follow "your own patients" further in their treatment on the ward.
We offer:
A committed and visionary team that focuses on high quality in patient processes.
The opportunity to shape and develop the position, as you will have close collaboration with both patients and colleagues.
A good working environment with a focus on both professionalism and well-being, where humor and cooperation are a natural part of everyday life.
Your primary tasks as course coordinator:
Organize investigations and treatment courses for both newly referred patients and patients who are to receive HDT.
Planning of investigations and coordination with both internal and external partners.
Hold interdisciplinary information sessions with patients and relatives.
Create an organizational overview and structure for the HDT function for both colleagues and patients.
We are looking for a nurse with the following skills:
Qualified nurse with experience in hematology or oncology. You can independently plan and carry out haematological nursing, including the administration of medical cancer treatment.
Experience with the Health Platform and ability to master both secretarial and nursing functions.
Organizational insight and knowledge of cancer package procedures.
Strong communicative skills in contact with patients and relatives, including by telephone.
Interest in teaching and communicating information to both staff and patients.
The ability to collaborate across disciplines and sectors.
Focus on relational coordination and quality work.
Experience with project and development work.
Preferably experience with database registration and preparation of instructions and patient information.
As a person, we would like you to:
Are smiling, service-minded and energetic, and you thrive in a dynamic team that is both ambitious and has a sense of humour.
Can alternate between administrative and clinical tasks and is focused on creating the best course for the patients.
Are committed to keeping your nursing expertise up to date and applying it both in clinical practice and professional development.
Has a holistic and person-centred approach in working with patients.
We look forward to receiving your application!
