Psychiatric area in Greenland strives to deliver psychiatric courses of high professional quality. We are now looking for more experienced and skilled specialist doctors in psychiatry to strengthen our professional work. You will have the opportunity to explore and engage in meaningful work where you work broadly within the psychiatric field. Your role will include treatment courses with adults, also legal patients, where you will become an important medical professional resource with a focus on improving the patients' mental health. The framework for your work Psychiatric Area consists of a bed ward with 12 beds, of which three of the places are in a screened unit. In addition, an ambulatory function with attending patients and telepsychiatry consultations, ward work at a social psychiatric institution and the district psychiatry in Nuuk. The psychiatric area has a collaboration with Region Central Jutland with a monthly conference and 16 beds in a forensic psychiatric department at Aarhus University Hospital. In addition, we have a collaboration agreement with child and youth psychiatry in the Capital Region. You will be part of a well-functioning interdisciplinary team and a strong professional working environment, where there is a good framework for professional development and sparring. Your future colleagues will be specialist doctors, psychologists, junior doctors, nurses, pedagogues, therapists, patient coordinators, administrative staff, interpreters and social and health assistants. Your working day is characterized by great variety and with a broad portfolio of tasks. doctors outside Nuuk for professional sparring. Younger doctors in the department get sparring in relation to acute issues and situations where coercion is used. Psychologists need weekly professional sparring about outpatient patient processes.
