As a secretary in the Emergency Department, you are our outward face as the first patient to meet at reception. We welcome everyone who comes in to be assessed, pick up packages, get lost, visit relatives and a lot of other things. When patients and relatives come to us, it is in all imaginable situations. We are the ones they look to for help, and therefore it is important that you have an easy smile, can show empathy and are service minded towards those who need help. We are the focal point for virtually all inquiries from patients, relatives, general practitioners, police, ambulances and other departments. We are part of the coordination team, emergency room/reception/observation unit/short-term unit in Køge and emergency room/reception in Roskilde.

Teamwork
Even though we have many functions, we have a joint responsibility that we are super good at helping each other to solve and prioritize our tasks so that they are solved as best as possible. We work in mixed shifts, and participate in all shifts (day shift, evening shift and night shift 1-2/month) with weekend shift every second weekend. Everyone is flexible and helpful when it comes to getting the guards to go up, but at the same time it is taken into account that one's family life can be connected by using the wish plan. We know it requires cooperation, flexibility and helping hands to work in this particular way, but it also gives freedom at other times.
