Team teachers are wanted for the summer school course

Team lecturers are wanted for the summer school course at the Economics degree at the University of Copenhagen. It is fun and very educational to teach, so if you want to be a team teacher, read on here: Subject to funding coverage and the creation of the expected number of teams, from 1 July 2024 there will be a number of time-limited part-time positions as team teachers (assistant teachers and teaching assistants) available to cover the team teaching on the following courses: Elective subjects on the bachelor's and master's programs: Summer school course: Secondary Statistics A description of the course can be seen in the course catalog [link removed] Job content The team instructor must take care of teaching on the courses' teams with up to approx. 46 students. The teaching covers assignment review with associated theory and assignment calculation in class and, for most courses, also guidance on mandatory hand-in assignments. For the position group "Teaching assistant" there may also be an opportunity for examination assignment guidance. For courses where the teaching takes place in Danish, good knowledge of Danish is a condition for employment in these teams. For courses where the teaching takes place in English, good English skills are a condition for employment in these teams. The teaching takes place within the time period at 8 to 18. The team teacher is expected, as part of the preparation, to participate in teacher meetings a few times during the semester and to participate in the 2-day pedagogical course before the start of the semester. Form of employment: As a team teacher, you can be employed either as an assistant teacher or teaching assistant: Position category "Assistant teacher": An assistant teacher is a team teacher who is himself a student and enrolled in higher education during the teaching period. It is expected that the applicant has at least passed the first 3 semesters of the BA program in economics at the time of application and passed the first 2 years at the time of employment. Other students can be employed if, after assessment and interview, it is assessed that the applicant is professionally qualified. Position category "Teaching assistant": A teaching assistant is a team teacher who has completed a graduate degree. It is expected that the applicant primarily has a master's degree in economics or similar. Salary and terms of employment Employment and remuneration in the category "Assistant teacher" takes place in accordance with the rules in the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the National Union of Student Teachers (SUL). The hourly wage per working hour is DKK 248.01 per 1 April 2024. Employment and remuneration as "Teaching assistant" takes place in accordance with the rules in the "Circular on agreement on external lecturers and teaching assistants at universities etc. under the Ministry of Education and Research" of 16 March 2022 concluded between the Ministry of Taxation and the Academics and in accordance with the provisions for the teaching assistant position, as described in the "Declaration on position structure for scientific staff at universities" of 11 December 2019. The hourly wage per working hour is DKK 278.71 as of 1 April 2024. For both position categories, remuneration is paid for the standard number of group teaching lessons and with a preparation of 90 minutes per lesson, as well as for task direction according to a time standard defined for the course. Employment procedure After the application deadline, the hiring manager, with advice from the employment committee, selects which applicants are to be assessed. All applicants will immediately be notified whether their application has progressed to assessment in a specialist assessment unit
hibernation. The selected applicants are informed about the composition of the committee and after the assessment period has ended, the applicant receives his professional assessment in consultation. Applicants who are assessed as qualified are prioritized and offered an interview in relation to the number of vacancies in each course, after which possible employment is offered.
