Job Description
Do you want to help make a difference in the green transition? So look here! Denmark must have completely green domestic aviation by 2030. We are looking for a lawyer who will be responsible for developing support schemes and reporting state aid to the Commission. These pools are crucial in the restructuring of Danish aviation. Welcome to the Danish Energy Agency's unit for Hydrogen and Green Fuels! The position is located in the Hydrogen and Green Fuels unit, which is part of the Center for Electrification. The unit is responsible for developing frameworks for hydrogen and green fuels to transition non-electrifiable sectors. You will become part of the fuel team, playing a central role in developing new initiatives that promote the use of green fuels in the transport sector. We attach great importance to good, close cooperation and we help each other. We are a unit with many different skills - and we have in common that we are all passionate about the green transition. With us, you will experience a culture with high ceilings and a strong team spirit. A good mood and cooperation are important - also in a fast-paced everyday life. We get along well socially and there is an opportunity to participate in Friday bars and other social and professional events with the rest of the board. About the job Green conversion of aviation is a large but important part of reaching the goal of the green conversion. With the political agreement on Green Aviation in Denmark, the path has been set to support aviation by replacing fossil fuels with new green alternatives. As a lawyer in the project group, you must: Contribute to the development of the support schemes together with the rest of the project group. Assist with the preparation of tender materials. Engage in ongoing dialogue with the European Commission. Prepare material for the state aid approvals in collaboration with state aid lawyers. Work closely with colleagues in both the Danish Energy Agency and the Department, as well as the Attorney General. The work with green aviation is anchored in a project group, where you must work closely with engineers, lawyers, economists and generalists. In addition, as a lawyer in the Hydrogen and Green Fuels unit, you may also be asked to help with other tasks. About you You have several years of experience as a lawyer. It will be an advantage if you have experience from central administration or similar. Specifically, we emphasize that you: Have knowledge of state aid rules. Is open and curious about the technical aspects within the fuel area and regulation. Able to drive things forward independently. Is good at writing in English and good at expressing yourself in spoken English. Is good at expressing yourself briefly and precisely in writing and orally. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have knowledge of e.g. ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation, VE III Directive or other fuel legislation. You should ideally be able to navigate a changing everyday life, where the work pace can sometimes be high. However, we place emphasis on ensuring a great deal of flexibility around our work.
