About the Job As department manager for the authority department in the Center for Children and Adults, you will be managerially responsible for the exercise of authority towards citizens in vulnerable positions, both in the area of ​​children and adults. You will be the day-to-day manager of 21 professionally committed employees, of which 7 employees work with authority within the specialized adult area according to the Service Act, and 14 employees work with authority in the specialized children's area according to the Children's Act. In the children's area, you are supported by a social work coordinator. Your tasks will include: Daily professional and personnel management of 21 employees, including coordination and prioritization of tasks and resources in close cooperation with the employees and professional coordinator. Ensure employees' well-being and development, so that their skills come into play. Gather the department around the core task: To make good decisions, as well as help citizens who are having a hard time - mind you in relation to the "triple bottom line": Citizens must experience being met, seen and heard in a friendly, professional and accommodating manner (procedural quality). There must be control over the exercise of authority, where holistic solutions are created (legal quality) and resource consumption must be coherent (economic quality) Support the development of social work methods and IT tools for this. We use VUM2 and Sensum One in the adult area, and ICS and DUBU in the children's area. Ensure that the citizens in the cooperation with the authority feel recognized and included, and that comprehensive and coherent decisions are made. We have a strong focus on the efforts being based on the citizen's wishes, hopes and dreams, so that the citizen's own potential is developed/supported. Ensure the link between professionalism and finances, so that budgets are kept and there is transparency. Budget management takes place in close collaboration with the Center manager and staff unit. Develop and maintain the interdisciplinary, early and preventive work and the collaboration with day care services, schools, the employment area, the municipality's other centres, etc. Stabilize and develop the department after a period of turbulence. About you You have a relevant professional background, for example as a social worker, within the specialized children's and/or adult area, as well as further training in management - preferably at diploma level. You have experience in the specialized area, especially in the area of ​​children and young people. You can be a professional beacon in the close management of your employees and the cooperation with colleagues. Your calmness rubs off on those around you, and you are able to handle conflicts constructively. You are involving by nature and possess a sense of humor. You have an empathetic, appreciative and trust-based management style and manage to listen and communicate purposefully in different situations.
