Job Description
Skørping-Fræer parish council is looking for a committed and responsible gravedigger.
The position is available as of 1 April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The position is 30 hours per week.
Workplaces are cemeteries that belong to the parish council of Skørping-Fræer Parish, which are currently Skørping Kirke, Skørping Nykirke and Fræer Kirke. When employed, Fræer Kirke is the primary place of work. The engraver must carry out the following tasks at Fræer Kirke:
look after and be responsible for the cemetery's maintenance, grave markings, etc.
occasional church service at church functions
cleaning of the church and other church premises
Fræer parish is a small rural parish with 291 inhabitants. Fræer Kirke is a well-preserved medieval church. The cemetery is extremely well maintained, beautifully situated high in the terrain and on a south-facing slope. Fræer Parish has a joint parish council with Skørping Parish, and to a certain extent there will be cooperation with the cemetery staff in neighboring parishes. The gravedigger participates in staff meetings with the cemetery staff and other employees in Skørping.
The church will have an automatic ringing system installed during 2025. Daily calling is not part of the assignment.

Employment takes place at Skørping-Fræer Parish Parish Council located at Præstevænget 14, 9520 Skørping.
The employment is covered by the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees' Organizations (OAO-S) and the Organizational Agreement for church officials with core tasks such as church servants or gravediggers entered into between the Ministry of Finance and the Union of Church and Cemetery Employees with associated protocols for gravediggers.

It is a condition that the mandatory 5-week training for diggers is completed within 2 years of the start of employment.
The position is placed in salary group 1, as there is no requirement for horticultural education. The annual salary is agreed within the range DKK 331,733 - DKK 408,292 (current kroner).
There is an obligation to be available for the position. The availability allowance amounts to 26,388 (current kroner) annually.
Salary and availability allowance are allocated in accordance with the employment fraction of the position. Agreement on placement in the salary range is concluded between the parish council and FAKK.
