Welcome to your new workplace

The nursing home Irlandsvej is located in a bright and friendly building in the middle of Tårnby, close to the metro and motorway and consists of 3 departments. In addition to nursing homes, the building also houses a rehabilitation center with associated physiotherapy, with which we have a close collaboration. In addition, we have an activity unit in the house, with which all the departments collaborate.
Plejehjemmet Irlandsvej is an independent unit that is organizationally part of Tårnby Municipality's Center for Rehabilitation, Care and Health. Your everyday life
You will be part of the house's overall care and nursing and will be permanently attached to one of our 3 departments. The tasks are many and varied - e.g. personal care, identification of symptoms, medication dispensing, terminal care including administration of palliative treatment, guidance/instruction etc. Our residents often have many complex illnesses that require professional observations, careful documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, contact with doctors, hospital departments and sparring with colleagues in the house and across the organisation.
In everyday life, we work purposefully with the residents' own resources to ensure a meaningful and coherent everyday life for the individual and to preserve the resources each resident has for as long as possible. Both through the daily social and healthcare tasks and more generally in the approach to the job, together with colleagues and the management, you must contribute to bringing to life the elderly strategy that Tårnby Municipality launched in 2022 under the heading: "A municipal health service - together with the citizen".

who are you

You are a trained social and health assistant with Danish authorization and several years of experience.
You are passionate about working with older people who need your help.
You are stable in meetings and aware of responsibility - and can create an overview in a busy everyday life together with your colleagues.
You can work independently and problem-solve and are at the same time a strong team player who does your part to ensure that we at the nursing home - residents, relatives and staff - succeed together.
You have a good knowledge of healthcare documentation (we work in CURA)
You are curious and solution-oriented in your approach to tasks and to other people.
You smile easily (preferably lots of humor) and generally have a positive and open mind.

About us

At the nursing home Irlandsvej, we are 3 department managers, a group of social and health workers, social and health assistants and nurses, pupils and students who are passionate every day about making a difference and giving our residents a dignified (older) life. We all have different skills, are good at sparring with each other and we help across departments. We work closely with the clinical nurses, the emergency team and the municipality's dieticians, occupational and physiotherapists. We work in a holistic, rehabilitative and activating way based on the individual resident's needs. We place a high value on respect for people, care and love for the profession, just as we work from an appreciative approach to both residents, relatives and each other.
We want to create a safe environment and continuity in everyday life for the residents, a warm house that welcomes relatives and other visitors inside and a workplace where the individual employee has the opportunity to learn and develop. Salary and terms of employment

We currently have several vacant SSA positions on day shift - 32 - 37 hours per week with weekend shift every 3rd weekend.
Employment takes place in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with FOA after negotiation. The municipality's employment policy implies that, when hiring, references are obtained from previous and current workplaces. If you have been employed by Tårnby Municipality, a reference will always be taken from here. A criminal record must also be presented upon employment. Employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.
