Production manager

On behalf of our customer BAETTR, we are looking for a Production Manager for the factory in Lem.

The production facilities specialize in casting, processing, surface treatment and assembly of large wind turbine components. The items weigh up to 30 tonnes. About the role of Production Manager
As Production Manager at BAETTR, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing the Danish production in Lem (CNC, surface treatment, assembly and maintenance). Your organization consists of approx. 100 employees, the majority of whom are paid by the hour. The hourly workers work in 4 shifts, and each shift has a team leader who reports to the Production Manager. You will work closely with the rest of the Danish management team. Your reference will be the Factory Manager in Denmark and some of your most important stakeholders will be quality, HSE, planning, Engineering, HR and finance.
Your primary duties will include:

Ensure flexible production with high output and minimal waste
Management and motivation of production teams - primarily through team leaders
Optimizing production and logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Together with the maintenance manager, work with TPM and ongoing maintenance
Ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations
Cooperation with suppliers and customers
Implementation of new technologies and improvements in production capacity
Continuous improvement of processes and optimization of material flow

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Production Manager with the following qualifications:

Documented experience in management of production, maintenance, etc.
Experience in managing managers (team leaders)
Solid understanding of - and experience with - production and logistics processes, including LEAN
Knowledge of relevant quality standards
Strong leadership and communication skills
Good analytical understanding and problem solving skills
Relevant education (e.g. machinist, mechanical engineer, production engineer or equivalent). Solid experience compensates for lack of education
Fluent Danish and preferably English.
