Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Second Cook to support the kitchen. The candidate will work closely with the First Cook, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, the preparation and execution of high quality dishes, as well as the observance of hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support of the First Cook in the preparation and execution of the menu dishes.
Supervision and organization of workstations for the daily operation of the kitchen.
Checking the quality and presentation of the dishes before they are delivered.
Participate in inventory management and proper storage of raw materials.
Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety rules (HACCP).
Performs any work requested of him by his direct supervisor
Qualifications:
Culinary school degree or equivalent training.
At least 2 years of experience as a Second Cook, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
Good knowledge of cooking and preparation techniques.
Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety rules (HACCP).
Good knowledge in implementing ISO 9001, 14001 & 22000 management systems.
Skills and experience:
Ability to work in a team with different levels of staff.
Working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Ensuring excellent quality and aesthetics of the dishes.
Management of stations and organization of the kitchen for flawless operation.
