Imaging department in Næstved is looking for 2 radiologists. One with an interest in onco- and thoracic radiology, the other with broad MR skills.

We are a stable, well-functioning department under SUH with dedicated employees, a good working environment and strong unity - also across professional boundaries.

In 2022, radiology in Region Zealand was merged into the Imaging Department, University Hospital of Zealand, which thus consists of 7 radiology departments. You will be employed in the section in Næstved, but have knowledge sharing and collaboration with the other sections. We are still in a process of change, and you will have the opportunity to shape our visions.
In the Næstved section, we are approx. 50 employees. We have 3 MR scanners, 2 CT scanners, 2 UL rooms and 5 conventional rooms, and we perform around 65,000 examinations annually.
The examinations are mainly referred from our oncology and pulmonary medicine department. In addition, we have examinations of urological patients from a smaller urological department - and a large number of examinations from various outpatient clinics and practices, e.g. cancer investigation.
Diagnostic PET scans are described daily in collaboration with our Nuclear Medicine department.
We have both a regional function in the investigation of lung cancer with 2 MDT conferences weekly - and a regional function in the investigation of interstitial lung diseases. We are looking for an onco-thoracic radiologist who is expected to participate in the holding of these multidisciplinary conferences.

We also have a wide range of MRI examinations within the musculo-skeletal, abdominal and neurological areas, and we are looking for a senior physician with MRI skills, who will, among other things, take care of our Head and Neck Cancer MDT conferences, which are held twice a week in collaboration with colleagues from the radiation therapy department and the nuclear medicine department.
Our department has 4-5 training doctors at different stages of the main training. You are expected to participate in the training of our junior doctors as well as to take on the role of main supervisor.
Possibility of participation in research and development projects internally and externally. We have recently hired an associate professor for our department.
Næstved Hospital is a specialist hospital and thus without on-call function. The acute examinations, which are carried out on our hospitalized patients during on-call hours, are described from the section in Nykøbing. On duty at one of our sister sections may offered if this is desired.
We have the option of a certain degree of flexibility around homework and meeting times, and we try to accommodate individual wishes to the greatest extent possible. For us, it is important that you have commitment to the thesis and the department.
