Planning and Cost Control Specialist

IRC ELLINIKOU S.A. is currently seeking a: Planning and Cost Control Specialist Main responsibilities: Analyses offers from a planning and control point of view, reporting any risks/opportunities to the Project Manager Analyses contract requirements, in compliance with the contractual requirements and company procedures Participates in the development of the offer or project program according to the company procedure and, if necessary, by assuming information from the offer documents available, in case of lack of information Provides support to Project Manager in definition of the original budget Provides an estimate of the man hours needed to carry out project activities, collects data and reports any deviations from the original plan Keeps the Program updated in accordance with contractual requirements and corporate procedures Produces reports on the progress of the project and prepares and submits reports daily, weekly and monthly by collecting information from various project functions Prepares the planned progress curves, compares them with those obtained from current program and develops key commodity curves and histograms Collects site yields and productivity in accordance with company procedures and standards Updates the Cost Control Report quarterly according to company procedures with particular focus on actual costs, committed costs and final estimates for individual activities Supports the Contract Manager in contractual issues relating to planning and control (claims etc.) Monitors compliance with contractual, project and interface milestones, reporting promptly to inform management of any critical issues and suggests recovery solutions Constantly keeps the Project Manager updated on the situation of the projects followed and on main emerging critical issues Requirements: Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering MSc in Finance/Economics or MBA is desirable 5 years of related experience in cost control for large scale constructions Construction site experience is required Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and oral Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications Skills: Analytical thinking Commitment to problem solving Ability to work and deliver under tight timelines Excellent communication skills Gek Terna
