is looking for a passionate
Sous Chef
to join the
Avali
hotel team for 2025 in Corfu
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and supervising all aspects of food preparation and production in a high-end hotel kitchen.
Collaborate in creating innovative menus, focusing on quality, seasonal ingredients, and current culinary trends.
Ensure that all dishes meet the hotel’s high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
Manage inventory, control waste, and monitor food costs, aiming for optimal budget management.
Enforce all health and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment and ensuring kitchen equipment is well-maintained.
Engage with guests when needed, handle special requests, and ensure a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment.
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of international cuisines and trends is a plus.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
