With reference to the Divisional Director for IT Systems & Services, you will be responsible for ensuring a robust and future-proof IT infrastructure, which must function as the technological foundation for GF Forsikring's business development and growth strategy. You will lead a team of 8 subject experts, each of whom has knowledge and experience within their specific areas of responsibility. As the head of the department, we expect you to practice an inclusive management style where, with natural authority, you manage to balance the strategic overview with the ability to delve into technical details when the situation calls for it.
Hardware & Infrastructure works closely with several key departments in GF Forsikring, where Servicedesk and Enterprise Architecture in particular are critical partners. The department operates with a hybrid infrastructure and a modular architecture, with a strong focus on security, compliance and governance. The department's 2 security specialists are involved in this work.
GF Forsikring is currently in an exciting transformation phase, where they are in the process of defining their future infrastructure landscape. This entails a thorough modernization and transition to a new, up-to-date infrastructure model that will support GF Forsikring's digital ambitions. As head of Hardware & Infrastructure, you will have a central role in this strategic transformation, where you must balance between ensuring stable operations and at the same time implementing future infrastructure solutions. Selectors®Cloud solutions, such as Microsoft Azure, are a central part of the future strategy and an important task will be to evaluate and select the right external supplier collaborations, so that the needs of the business are optimally supported, while at the same time creating an appropriate balance between internal competences and external resources.
We expect you to keep abreast of technological advances and show curiosity about new opportunities in the market. This must ensure an appropriate balance between well-tested solutions and innovative alternatives. Among the concrete challenges you will have to deal with are the continued anchoring of new technologies and processes, development of a modern infrastructure architecture and clarification of roles and responsibilities across different competencies and service levels in the department.
In connection with the selection, we will particularly emphasize that you possess:

Experience as an involving manager with a solid understanding of infrastructure
Strategic view of how you set the direction for the department with a focus on competences and resources
Business understanding so that good technical and financial decisions are made
Strong communication skills across the organization
The ability to coordinate with other IT functions, suppliers, etc. on transversal projects and initiatives

You have experience from a similar position in a larger company, where you were responsible for hardware and infrastructure. We would like you to have a relevant advanced IT education at academic level combined with a minimum of 3-5 years of strategic/tactical IT experience.
Although knowledge of the financial sector is not a requirement, solid experience with governance and compliance will be a significant advantage. Knowledge of NIS2 and DORA will also be an advantage.
