Job Description

The Danish Maritime Authority has been involved in rapid development for a number of years, and today we stand as a strong maritime administration that can match an international top-class maritime industry. With that starting point, we need an office manager who can take care of IT management with our business systems. About the job As office manager, you will be the manager of 9 employees. You will be responsible for both IT operation and maintenance of the agency's business systems and the development of the overall system portfolio so that it suits the needs of the business at all times. We place particular emphasis on ensuring that IT operation and maintenance work optimally and that project management is efficient, so that the agency is always at the forefront. This includes, among other things, sharp supplier management, top-notch IT security and well-functioning IT preparedness at the same time that our IT development projects must be managed so that they reach their goals. As head of office, you will be responsible for - in line with your colleagues - translating the agency's strategy and goals into action within your areas of responsibility. As head of IT Operations and Development (IDU), you are responsible for translating the agency's upcoming digitization strategy into a concrete IT action plan for the house, as well as participating in transversal collaborations within the Ministry of Business and Industry's group, e.g. on AI initiatives. About you You have a relevant academic education. You are able to work in a structured way and have an eye for putting things in order in a busy everyday life. You are strong analytical and can maintain an overview, even in stressful situations. You possess strong collaboration skills, work network-oriented and ensure the necessary business understanding so that the rest of the agency is supported and advised in a service-oriented way. You also have solid experience with managing IT projects and IT operations. It will also be an advantage if you have a good eye for either IT security, management of IT finances, portfolio or continuous improvement of work processes. You communicate clearly and precisely in writing and speaking - not least to the agency's management - also when time is short and the problem is complex. You must be able to spot challenges in the short and long term and provide solutions in good time. As a manager, you must actively contribute to ensuring that well-being is high in your department and that the agency continues to develop into an efficient and forward-looking workplace.
