Process engineer in battery production

If you have an interest in renewable energy sources and new technologies, as well as a desire to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for energy storage, in the position of Process Engineer for the assembly of battery cells you will have a key role in the preparation and optimization of the production process, as well as in the assessment of product quality.

Your duties and responsibilities:

Work on cell assembly and identifying areas for process improvement with a focus on quality and overall line capacity.

Collaboration with the engineering team to optimize the assembly process for different cell designs.

Close collaboration with R&D team and cell design team to verify electrochemical tests and analyze the influence of assembly process and material properties on cell performance.

Conducting design reviews and PFMEA analyses, approving changes in the process for continuous process improvement, achieving quality, technical specifications and defining standards.

Planning and execution of technical tasks using statistical methods (such as DoE and SPC) for continuous improvement of equipment and production processes.

Organizing and leading equipment commissioning activities, providing production handover support, including creating procedures, training and mentoring production team members.

Analysis of key data and production parameters (OEE, Cpk, Yield).

Analysis of malfunctions and problems with the aim of identifying the root causes and solving them.

Monitoring the documentation and analysis of experimental results, presenting them.

Developing expertise in understanding the interplay of processes and products, particularly in the cutting and stacking stages, while providing support in the planning and execution of subsequent engineering activities to ensure timely installation and commissioning of equipment.

You are expected to:

High level of interest in learning about the entire manufacturing process of LFP batteries.

High level of motivation to manage part of the production process for the assembly of battery cells.

Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.

Willingness to move to Subotica.

Pros of candidates:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or related field.

Knowledge of production processes in the automotive industry (FMEA, SPC).

Experience in using quality management tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis, 8D, Six Sigma and control charts.

Knowledge of the IATF system.

Good skills in writing clear and accurate process procedures in production.

Everyday written and oral communication in English.
