Job Description

We are looking for a senior physician for the Imaging Department, SUH in Slagelse, with employment starting by agreement.
The position includes both clinical work and management tasks consisting of daily staff management, operational management and professional management in close collaboration with the senior radiographer at the register and the chief physician.
The medical management in the Imaging Department is organized with one chief physician and a total of six senior physicians, each with their own section responsibility. The department managers are part of the department's overall management group and help to define and develop radiology in Region Zealand. In addition to internal management meetings, there is a joint forum for the leading senior doctors, both at department level and regionally, so there will be plenty of opportunity for sparring and development. At the same time, in addition to being a local manager in Slagelse, you will, by agreement, be able to participate in, or have responsibility for, cross-functional professional and managerial tasks in the department. If you have a strong interest in education, the position can be combined with being the senior physician responsible for education in the department, with dedicated time for the task.
Slagelse Sygehus is a larger emergency hospital with, among other things, an emergency department, surgery, orthopedics and several medical specialties. With the widespread opportunities to work remotely, in the future there will be the possibility that Slagelse, together with Køge, will be a main place of employment for the region's radiologists, both today and in a combined on-call function.
The department is faced with having to have a new, joint RIS/PACS system during 2025, which, in addition to working locally on the registry, provides the opportunity to work subspecialized in collaboration with the department's other radiologists across the registry. All guidelines, instructions and protocols are unidirectional.
Radiology in Region Zealand was merged in January 2022. Although we have come a long way, both the department and the medical organization in the region are undergoing continuous development, which entails many exciting organizational tasks that you, as a senior physician, can participate in.

We offer:

An exciting job with own area of responsibility within a large organization
Development opportunities, both organizationally and personally
A department that works strategically with both proximity and centralization to ensure good patient processes and high professional quality across an entire region
A department that values cohesion and where it must be pleasant to work

Your tasks will be:

Daily staff management of the doctors on the register, including development and support of the individual employee
Part of the Imaging Department's management team
Close collaboration with leading radiographer on operational management and ensuring good patient processes
Participation in the department's clinical work
Maintain dialogue with clinical partners
Promote professional development and support the implementation of joint management decisions
Contribute to a good working environment and good interdisciplinary cooperation
To help develop the thesis, preferably with research activities
Participate in teaching and support the professional development of the staff

We expect you to:

Is a specialist in radiology, preferably with his own specialist area
Has an interest in, and preferably experience with, management
Is good at collaborating and involving
Wants to further develop own professional and management skills
Would like to contribute to the development of a strong radiology department

As a starting point, the position is off-call with an equal distribution of time between management and clinical work. Attendance on duty to a limited extent can be agreed upon if desired.
Salary according to collective agreement.
