Are you looking to take your career to the next level? Our client is looking for a mid-senior level Mechanical Design Engineer to join the company on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role offering part WFH and part office based.As aMechanical Design Engineer, you will be a key player in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. You'll have the chance to lead exciting projects, from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet both industry standards and client specifications.What You'll Do:Take ownership of the design aspects of projects, from initial handover to successful completion.Collaborate with Engineers and Managers to create high-quality CAD drawings that meet project needs.Develop detailed design specifications, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and client requirements.Produce comprehensive design deliverables, integrating input from various disciplines.Conduct thorough checking and approval processes to ensure the highest quality.Prepare and manage procurement Bills of Materials (BoM) for purchasing.Manage project changes and provide timely feedback on programme progress.On occasion, take the lead on specific projects, managing the design process from start to finish.Adhere to company quality assurance procedures to maintain consistency and excellence.What We're Looking For:A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in a similar industry.Hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary engineering team.Proficiency in AutoCADStrong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.A track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail.The ability to work swiftly without compromising on quality.
