QA/QC Engineer

We are looking for exceptional professionals to join our AIA Athens Airport Expansion Program team in Athens QA/QC Engineer, Athens Responsibilities: Conduct and/or participate in client quality or technical compliance audits for contractors, subcontractors, or vendors. Review the contract documents for each construction package in respect of QA/QC requirements and procedures and advise the contract manager of any deficiencies. Review QA/QC site organization and key personnel CVs as submitted by the contractors and advise the project director/manager. Review QA/QC Procedures and Document Control as submitted by the Contractors and ensure implementation is in compliance with Contract requirements. Review inspection test plans as submitted by the contractors and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Attend all activities on site and ensure their compliance with QA/QC procedure in respect of the format signed off by the contractor's QA/QC manager. Ensure traceability of all materials and equipment from purchasing up to delivery on site. Check all materials and equipment as delivered on site and ensure its compliance with approved materials and specifications. Closely monitor site activities and fully coordinate with PM discipline engineers on a daily basis, issuing NCRs in case of non-compliance. Report to the project director/manager in case of a shortage of skilled laborers and/or site supervision staff. Participate with PM staff in assessing concession requests and field design changes as submitted by the contractor. Participate with PM staff in reviewing the Close-Out Report as submitted by contractors. Coordinate with all disciplines/contractors for QA/QC. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical) or a related field. Quality Management, or a related field; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus. 10+ years of proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer, preferably in construction/supervision of building & infrastructure projects. Experienced in: construction QA/QC processes (method statements, ITPs, etc.), materials review, inspection & testing, site inspections, review/evaluation of testing reports Knowledge or familiarity with Greek & European construction regulations & quality standards. Proficiency in quality management software and tools. Proficiency in oral and written communication in the English language. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
